Luxe Ceramics Flagship
The Challenge
Luxe Ceramics, an Italian-import tile and surface brand, needed their Bangalore flagship to compete with the experiential showrooms of global brands on MG Road. The space had to function as both a retail environment where architects and homeowners could browse collections, and an immersive material gallery where clients could see tiles in realistic room settings rather than flat sample boards. The three-month timeline was non-negotiable — the showroom launch was tied to Bangalore's peak interior design season. Critically, the showroom itself had to demonstrate the same level of material craftsmanship that Luxe sells to its customers.
Our Approach
Nextura designed the showroom as a curated journey through material experiences rather than a traditional grid of product displays. The ground floor greets visitors with a gallery-like entrance featuring oversized slab installations on floating steel frames, allowing customers to see the scale and texture of large-format tiles as they would appear on an actual wall. The upper level houses eight vignette rooms — kitchen, bathroom, living room, and outdoor settings — each fully tiled with working fixtures so visitors experience the materials in realistic contexts rather than imagining them from a sample chip.
- Engineered a steel-and-cable display system that allows tiles up to 1.2m x 2.4m to be mounted and swapped without damaging the backing wall
- Installed architectural-grade LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature so each tile collection can be lit to show its natural tones accurately
- Built a material library with pull-out drawers holding 400+ samples, organised by collection, finish, and application for quick architect consultations
- Specified polished microcement floors in circulation areas to provide a neutral backdrop that does not compete visually with the displayed products
The Results
The showroom opened on schedule and immediately became a reference point for architects in Bangalore specifying premium surfaces. Walk-in footfall in the first quarter exceeded projections by 40%, with the vignette rooms cited as the primary reason architects bring their clients to visit rather than ordering samples. The modular display system has enabled Luxe to refresh collections seasonally without construction downtime — a capability their competitors on MG Road lack. Average order values increased 22% compared to their previous showroom format, attributed to clients being able to visualise materials in realistic settings.
"The attention to material quality was outstanding. Every finish, every junction — you can feel the craft in the details." — Priya Krishnan, Director, Luxe Ceramics
